Brink & van Keulen 1646 B.V. - Old Dutch Copper Chandeliers looking for communication student(s) with a preference for (Dutch) craftsmanship and history

We are looking for a student who, under supervision, wants to contribute to the growth and positioning of Brink & van Keulen as a full member of the team. Within the team You give substance and implementation to the communication and marketing policy. You will be responsible for the development and roll-out of the marketing communication plans.

For generations, Brink & van Keulen 1646 B.V. has supplied hundreds of copper chandeliers to historic buildings, royal palaces and fine monumental homes.

All the knowledge and skills for making and restoring copper chandeliers has been passed on for generations. Since 2016 under the leadership of young entrepreneurs with a great love for the yellow-cast craft. Together with Dutch production partners they are able to make chandeliers in the traditional way and thus keep the beautiful craft alive.

Trainee profile

You are an HBO/WO student with excellent research skills, love to write and are able to enthusiastically communicate the story of Brink & van Keulen. You come up with and develop smart and cost-effective ideas to increase the visibility of the trade and are strong in making connections between the right content and the corresponding channels. 

  • HBO or WO study programme in journalism, marketing or communication 
  • A love for crafts and being able to translate this into a contemporary image
  • Copywriting skills, (Dutch/English) 
  • Organizational talent 
  • Affinity with and knowledge of social media
  • Creative, flexible, independent and accurate 

What do we offer? 

A fun internship in Amsterdam where we work with a young, passionate team to maintain the yellow casting tradition. You will come into contact with the casting and production process and may contribute to The growth and positioning of a centuries-old specialisation within the current time.
